This is my very first documentary, a project I had the incredible opportunity to produce, film, and edit, featuring the charismatic Gatis Vectirans as the main character. In this film, Gatis shares his profound experiences in the world of performance art and his passion for retro bicycles, offering a unique perspective on creativity and individuality.
The documentary is set against the backdrop of the Diverse Universe Performance Festival, a vibrant and eclectic event that celebrates avant-garde art and cross-cultural collaboration. The film also features appearances by members of the renowned Non Grata collective from Estonia and the enigmatic Steve Vanoni from the USA, adding layers of depth and diversity to the narrative.
This project was an extraordinary journey for me as a filmmaker, capturing the raw energy and unfiltered expressions of the festival and its participants. It’s a story of passion, art, and community, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.
